Our time together will conclude with time for your questions.
Context:
The UC Libraries reached their first open access agreement with Cambridge University Press in 2018 and have continued to negotiate agreements with scholarly journal publishers to reduce the amount UC authors pay to publish open access. UC Libraries’ 20 existing publishing agreements make ~55% of UC articles eligible for publishing OA.
More recent efforts to advance openly-available research have focused on providing OA support for UC authors of journals and monographs in the arts and humanities.
UC Libraries continue to invest in eScholarship, its institutional repository which also serves as publishing venue. eScholarship includes over 80 academic journals.
