SUMMARY:Research Data Management: From Plan (DMPTool) to Publication (Dryad)
DESCRIPTION:Research Data Management Workshop Series co-sponsored by the 
 Office of Research Development. \n\nResearch data is increasingly valued 
 and a necessary component of reproducible and open science. Initiative 
 focused on the usability of data like "FAIR"\, coupled with mandates from 
 funders and publishers that require data to be openly accessible\, increase 
 the need for a data savvy research workforce. This workshop will focus on 
 understanding data management planning requirements and how to publish 
 research data. We will focus on both the DMPTool as resource for funder 
 policies around data management planning\, as well as the Dryad data 
 publishing platform for publishing "FAIR" re-usable data.\n\nInstructors: 
 Daniella Lowenberg and Maria Praetzellis\n\nDaniella Lowenberg is the 
 Research Data Specialist and Product Manager for Dryad and Project Lead for 
 Sloan Foundation funded by the Make Data Count inititative.\n\nMaria 
 Praetzellis is the Product Manager for Research Data Management initiatives 
 at the California Digital Library.\n\nLength: 80 minutes \n\nLunch will be
