This four-workshop series teaches the fundamentals of research computing in Python. It will introduce graduate students and faculty to concepts and tools they can apply to their own research workflows. We will cover Python language fundamentals, program design, data management, and data visualization.
Your registration for this event will register you to attend the entire workshop which takes place over the course of four weeks: Sept 17, Sept 24, Oct 1, and Oct 8.
Participants should install Python on their computer prior to the first workshop. You can find our installation guide here: https://libguides.ucmerced.edu/software-carpentry/python/install . If you need assistance with software installation, join us for pre-workshop office hours on Wednesday, Sept 16, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (use the workshop Zoom link).
