Research Computing with the MERCED Cluster Online

This workshop will teach you how to get started with high-performance computing [HPC] using the MERCED Cluster. We will cover:

  • What is a computing cluster?
  • The configuration of the MERCED cluster, including
    • Hardware configuration
    • Network configuration (Infiniband)
    • Job scheduling software (Slurm)
  • Best practices for using the cluster
  • How to submit cluster jobs
  • Getting help with HPC
