This workshop will teach you how to get started with high-performance computing [HPC] using the MERCED Cluster. We will cover:
- What is a computing cluster?
- The configuration of the MERCED cluster, including
- Hardware configuration
- Network configuration (Infiniband)
- Job scheduling software (Slurm)
- Best practices for using the cluster
- How to submit cluster jobs
- Getting help with HPC
