Wikipedia contribution assignments provide students with an opportunity to have a real world impact by using their research to improve and add content to articles, and to share their work and knowledge with a world-wide audience of 1.7 billion Wikipedia visitors per month.
Elizabeth Salmon (Research Services Librarian) and Michelle Toconis (Lecturer with Continuing Appointment, Merritt Writing Program) will share their experience, both the positive aspects and challenges, of pairing Wikipedia contribution assignments with annotated bibliography projects in SPARK and Writing 10 classes in the Spring 2021 semester.
