Programming and Plotting in Python (1 of 4)

This four-workshop series teaches the fundamentals of research computing in Python. It will introduce graduate students and faculty to concepts and tools they can apply to their own research workflows. We will cover Python language fundamentals, program design, data management, and data visualization.

Week 1: Python Fundamentals
Week 2: Working with Data
Week 3: Data Visualization
Week 4: Program Design and Workflows

If you don't have any previous experience with Python, we strongly recommend that you register for all four workshops.

Participants should install Python on their computer prior to the first workshop. You can find installation instructions for your operating system here: https://libguides.ucmerced.edu/software-carpentry/python/install
