Learn more about the Zero-Cost Course Materials Grant. This online session will provide information about what materials qualify as zero-cost, tools and support for locating open educational resources, and grant implementation details. Please bring any questions.
The Zero-Cost Course Materials Grant supports the adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER) and use of UC Merced Library licensed electronic resources to reduce textbook and learning materials costs to $0.
Faculty are invited to apply for one of the following awards for replacing commercial materials with zero-cost resources.
- $1000 one-time award for the adoption of an existing OER and/or use of Library licensed materials.
- $1,500 one-time award for modifying an existing OER. OER may be modified by editing or creating content such as additional chapters, modules, question banks, or lecture slides.
