This three-day workshop focuses on working with geospatial data. It will introduce graduate students and faculty to concepts and tools they can apply to their own research workflows. We will cover managing and understanding spatial data formats, understanding coordinate reference systems, and working with raster and vector data in R for analysis and visualization.
Your registration for this event will register you to attend the entire workshop which takes place over the course of three days: March 22-24. You can view the curriculum here: https://ucmerced.github.io/2021-03-22-ucmerced/
Participants should install R on their computer prior to the first workshop. You can find the installation guide here: https://datacarpentry.org/geospatial-workshop/setup.html. If you need assistance with software installation, join us for pre-workshop office hours on Friday, March 19, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm (use the workshop Zoom link).
You will receive the Zoom link upon registration.
